Maintenance Technician (Dearborn Location)

Applied Handling, Inc. is a leader in the distribution of loading dock equipment and industrial doors as well as installers of overhead doors, loading dock equipment and warehouse material handling equipment. We have career opportunities for full time Maintenance Mechanics.

Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and upgrading a wide variety of warehouse equipment and industrial doors at customer facilities. Mechanics work independently or in small teams, and work directly with customers and our sales force to ensure our customers have safe, efficient warehouse.

This position has the following requirements:

  • Prior experience in welding, electrical and/or hydraulic troubleshooting is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Must be a Team player and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools
  • Excellent problem-solving¬† and customer service skills
  • Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to learn a wide variety of equipment and skills quickly
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Advanced technical or college training preferred

Accounting Assistant- Part Time (Dearborn Location)

Job Summary:  We are looking for a Part Time Accounting Assistant that has some experience to join our Finance Department. You must be motivated, innovative, and able to respond quickly to customer demands. Additionally, you must be extremely detail oriented and be able to adhere to strict deadlines as well as maximize internal and external customer satisfaction by effectively responding to requests for assistance from office personnel, customers and suppliers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, review and verify invoices and check requests
  • Flag and clarify any unusual or questionable invoice items or prices
  • Sort, code and match invoices
  • Set invoices up for payment
  • Enter and upload invoices into system
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Prepare and perform check runs
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
  • Assist with month end closing
  • Maintain accurate paper and electronic files
  • Assist with incoming deposits

Skills Required:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be PC literate and possess a thorough knowledge of general business procedures
  • Strong communication skills
