Combination Control Panel

Combination Control Panels

Integrate all operations into a single control panel

Accidents and near misses at the loading dock can be prevented by safely interlocking and integrating the loading dock controls into a single panel. Applied Handling’s custom designed systems can help your facility by designing new projects or surveying your existing facility to help you.

The Right Way – Single Panel

  • Single disconnect for all power inside panel
  • Fused, single location to lock-out all system electrical power.
  • Controlled, Interlocked, Sequence of Operation for SAFE loading and unloading
  • Single pictorial/written Sequence Diagram on the panel for the complete system.
  • Single electrical drawing set located in pocket on door panel for easier troubleshooting.
  • Protects personnel, dock equipment, the building, and trailers from damage due to operator error.

The Wrong Way – Multiple Panels

  • Multiple sources
  • Multiple power feeds and lock-out locations can be confusing.
  • Panels non-sequenced and non-interlocked. Safety can be compromised by human error.
  • No single tag for system operation.
  • Confusing multiple drawings stuffed in panels or glued to face of door panels.
  • Non Sequenced human error can lead to accidents and damage.

Specialty Control Panels

Custom paint as well as custom enclosure sizes are available, including stanchions, which offer extra protection. Control systems are Nema, IEC, J.I.C. standard and UL 508A listed. All panels are equipped with OSHA power Lock-out requirements and meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Combination Dock Controls with Custom Enclosures
  • Custom Color Control Panels
  • Explosion Proof Control Panels

Dok-Commander Combination Control Panel

The Dok-Commander system integrates multiple control components at each dock position for a total dock safety system.

Dok-Commander Features and Benefits

  • Improves productivity and total dock safety with interlock options that ensure equipment is used in the proper sequence and to achieve its full capabilities.
  • Easy to operate centralized panel includes the controls of multiple devices.
  • Lower electrical installation costs by powering each dock position from a single branch circuit.
  • Clean and simple wall configuration, since each Dok-Commander box eliminates the need for multiple control boxes, and its narrow size allows for tight door centerlines.
  • Enhances safety during maintenance with a single optional lock-out/ tag-out provision.
Safe-T-Signal

Safe-T-Signal Warning System

Help prevent accidents where people and material handling equipment share the same space in your facility with Rite-Hite’s Safe-T-Signal Warning System. The Safe-T-Signal Warning System detects traffic from all directions and communicates with high-visibility traffic control LED symbols to the oncoming traffic.

If traffic is detected approaching from one direction, then an amber LED yield signal is presented to the other directions. When traffic is detected from two or more directions then a red LED stop signal will be presented to the approaching traffic and a blue LED light will illuminate on the floor; directions with no detected traffic will be presented with an amber LED signal

The Rite-Hite Safe-T-Signal™ Warning System is perfect for blind corners and busy intersections at any warehouse.

  • Adjustable zone sensitivity
  • Actively detects oncoming traffic
  • High Visibility LED Signals
  • Easy to install
  • Configure for 2-way, 3-way or 4-way traffic

Corner-Vu

Corner-Vu provides immediate Dok-Lok status with light communication to the forklift operator before entering the trailer.

  • Corner-Vu lights are located on the upper corners of the interior dock door.
  • Exclusive light communication system provides clear, line-of-sight Dok-Lok status without any obstructions in the forklift driver’s view.
  • Reduces forklift accidents by enhancing visual communication of the Dok-Lok control box.
  • Mirrors status of the inside light on the Dok-Lok control box – green light means the trailer is safely secured to the loading dock with a Dok-Lok restraint. Red light indicates the trailer is not secured and it is unsafe to enter.
  • Standard on Dok-Lok restraints.
  • Energy savings – one dual color, low voltage 12VDC LED light per light emitting fixture.

Approach-Vu Lights

Approach-Vu adds an additional layer of pedestrian safety outside of the building at the loading dock.

  • A motion sensor is mounted on the center-line, above the dock seal or shelter. It is aimed at the drive approach and it detects the motion of a backing trailer (up to 30 feet away).
  • A light and horn system, embedded in the Dok-Lok® vehicle restraint, presents a clear visual and audible warning to pedestrians in the drive approach when a backing vehicle is detected.
  • Standard with the Shadow Hook restraint and the Stabilizing Trailer restraint.

Leveler-Vu

Leveler-Vu Communication system helps prevent forklift accidents by providing immediate Dok-Lok status with light communication to the forklift operator while inside the trailer.

  • Exclusive light communication system provides clear, line-of-sight Dok-Lok status to the forklift driver while inside of the trailer.
  • Reduces forklift accidents by enhancing visual communication of the Dok-Lok control box.
  • Reference point of the leveler location for the lift truck operator when backing out of the trailer.
  • Mirrors status of the inside light on the Dok-Lok control box – green light means the trailer is safely secured to the loading dock with a Dok-Lok restraint. Red light indicates the trailer is not secured and it is unsafe to enter.
  • Below surface of stored leveler for non-direct contact of fork truck traffic.
  • Standard on Dok-Lok restraints.
  • When ordered with a Dok-Lok vehicle restraint, the Rite-Vu product warranty will follow the corresponding Dok-Lok warranty. If not ordered with a Dok-Lok, one-year parts and labor

Rite-Vu Light Communication System

Rite-Vu is a complete detection and visual management warning system. It consists of three separate products, including: Corner-Vu, Leveler-Vu and Pedestrian-Vu.

  • Corner-Vu provides immediate Dok-Lok status-at-a-glance to the forklift driver before entering the trailer.
  • Leveler-Vu confirms Dok-Lok status to the forklift driver while inside the trailer.
  • Pedestrian-Vu visually communicates to loading dock personnel if a forklift is inside a trailer.
  • Helps prevent forklift-pedestrian collisions.
  • Helps reduce catastrophic trailer separation accidents.
  • Clear, concise communication to the right person, at the right time, in the right location.
  • Virtual filament technology reduces light pollution and allows for directional light.
Pedestrian Vu Communication System

Pedestrian-Vu

Pedestrian-Vu communicates to pedestrians and material handling operators that there is activity inside of a trailer. Motion sensors are located on each side of the dock door and are aimed inside the trailer. An intense, flashing blue light is emitted onto the leveler when motion is detected inside of the trailer. An audible alarm will sound if entering a trailer while a dok-lok is not engaged and trailer secured. Pedestrian Vu is standard with all Dok-Lok’s or as a standalone system.
